I always wish I could remember the exact logic of all the weird stuff I did and thought when I was a kid. One prime example:
When I was maybe 3 or 4 I got really into telling "jokes" to my Mom. Except they did not make any sense. I think I had picked up on the format of a joke (rhetorical question, answer, laughter) without really understanding things like puns all that well. The one that we all remember was this:
Q: "Why is the sky blue?" A: "Because there are horses in it!"
It seems I thought this was hilarious. I just wish I could remember WHY. I'm sure it made total sense to me at the time, but that sense is lost forever.
